Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring acute inpatient psychiatric treatment on a 37-bed behavioral health unit
- Manage a patient caseload at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio during night shifts
- Utilize Omnicell for medication dispensing and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner
- Apply experience with seclusion protocols and voluntary/involuntary commitment processes
- Float within the hospital to like units as needed, always within nursing scope of practice
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including social workers, recreational therapy, pharmacy, utilization review, and other support services
Required Qualifications- Valid Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health RN experience required
- Inpatient and locked-unit Behavioral Health experience required
- Experience with seclusion and voluntary/involuntary commitment required
- BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills- Certification in Aggressive Management preferred
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred
- Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
