Contract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring acute inpatient psychiatric treatment on a 37-bed behavioral health unit
• Manage a patient caseload at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio during night shifts
• Utilize Omnicell for medication dispensing and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner
• Apply experience with seclusion protocols and voluntary/involuntary commitment processes
• Float within the hospital to like units as needed, always within nursing scope of practice
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including social workers, recreational therapy, pharmacy, utilization review, and other support services

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health RN experience required
• Inpatient and locked-unit Behavioral Health experience required
• Experience with seclusion and voluntary/involuntary commitment required
• BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification in Aggressive Management preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
