    Job Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Nursing Director for Women's Services to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for obstetrical and maternal-child health services within a hospital setting.

    This role partners closely with executive nursing leadership and is responsible for supporting the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services across multiple patient care areas. The Nursing Director maintains 24/7 accountability for assigned departments while ensuring exceptional patient care, staff competency, quality outcomes, and effective resource management.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide leadership and operational oversight for Women's Services departments.
    • Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across assigned areas.
    • Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
    • Support workforce planning, staffing, and resource management.
    • Promote clinical excellence and staff development.
    • Monitor quality metrics and implement performance improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams.
    • Serve as a professional role model and advocate for nursing excellence.
    • Maintain 24/7 accountability for assigned service lines.
    Requirements Education

    Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)

    Preferred:

    • Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
    Experience

    Required:

    • Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting as a Manager or Director
    • Experience within Women's Services, including:
      • Labor & Delivery (L&D)
      • Mother/Baby
      • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

    Preferred:

    • Experience with high-acuity maternal-child services
    • Advanced NICU experience
    • Complex patient care experience
    Licensure & Certifications

    Required:

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current AHA BLS Certification
    • All required state and professional nursing credentials
