**Exciting Travel RN Opportunity in Adult Psychiatry!**
**Job Description:**
- Experience a fulfilling role in the world of psychiatric nursing with a focus on adult mental health.
- Work with a diverse patient population on various units:
- ADOL: 12-18 years old with 18 beds
- Serenity: Lower acuity adult unit with 24 beds
- ITU: Higher acuity adult unit (thought disorder diagnoses) with 32 beds
- SRAD: Senior lifestyle patients with 16 beds
- VINE: Lower acuity adult unit with 9 beds
- Enjoy guaranteed hours, with 48 hours preferred each week.
- Shifts available: 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Start date: 12/14.
**Unit Specifics:**
- Patient Ratios: Nurses 8:1, MHTs 12:1
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Flexible scheduling, covering three 12-hour shifts daily, including weekends.
- Floating policy prioritizes unit with the greatest need.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess patients' mental health status, recognizing psychiatric disorders and behavioral problems.
- Develop individualized care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
- Administer and monitor psychiatric medications, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
- Provide crisis intervention and utilize de-escalation techniques for patients in immediate distress.
- Foster therapeutic communication, building trust and rapport with patients.
**Required Certifications:**
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
**Dress Code:**
- Nurses: Blue or Black Uniform
- MHTs: Green or Black Uniform
