Helps to maintain 24-hour accountability for the quality of care of clients. Completes physical and mental health assessments as indicated by regulations. Administers and monitors treatment regimens and prescribed medications. Observes and reports behavioral changes. Maintains control of drugs and medications. Triage emergent medical issues and coordinate care with nursing staff and providers. Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting. Respects cultural and religious practices of patients. Ensures regulatory compliance and collaborates with various staff in quality assessment, assurance, and performance improvement activities.
