Must-Have:
- 24 months of current psychiatric/behavioral health experience
- Skills checklist specific to psychiatric/behavioral health
- Professional reference from a charge supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO within the last 24 months
- De-escalation certification (MOAB, MAB, CPI) preferred
- Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support
Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Behavioral Health.
This position involves working with acute psychiatric patients who may have major mental health illnesses and chronic behaviors including violence, aggression, mania, and self-harm.
Clinical responsibilities may include administering restraints and implementing de-escalation techniques.
Experience with all age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, is required.
Candidates must have recent or current inpatient experience, particularly in psychiatric/behavioral health settings.
Flexibility to float across various units is required.
Candidates must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
Participation in holidays may be required unless the unit is closed.
An active commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all patients is essential.
