Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Must have state license at the time of submission Certifications: BLS (AHA), Handle with Care (HWC - can be completed on site if needed) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Experience working with mental health patients in a locked setting. Ability to pass medications utilizing an automated medication management system. Description: This is an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art behavioral health unit. The facility features a supportive work environment with experienced staff. The unit has the lowest restraint rate in the region. A full team of rehabilitation staff is available for group programming. There are social work staff and three psychiatrists on the unit. The patient population consists of adults aged 18 and over with a history of legal issues. This position entails providing care to patients who are often in crisis. Candidates should be trauma-informed and able to provide compassionate care. Flexibility and the ability to adjust to changing patient needs are essential. Effective communication skills are necessary to engage with patients and team members. A focus on quality patient outcomes is highly valued in this role. The dress code requires scrubs in designated colors with specific attire guidelines.
