This unit serves a range of patients with diverse behavioral health diagnoses. Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression, as well as suicidal ideation. The nurse will be expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 based on staffing levels. Every other weekend, shifts are from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nurses are expected to round every two hours and assist with patient care when short-staffed. There are nurse aides on the unit, contributing to the care. The unit has a total of 36 beds, with sections for adults and children.
