Travel Nurse RN - Psych - $2,075 to $2,305 per week in St. Paul, MN

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity adult behavioral health patients (ages 18–65, occasionally older) in an ED mental health suite and closed observation unit
• Deliver ADL cares and support for neurodiverse patients, including non-verbal individuals with autism, within a locked acute mental health setting
• Utilize specialized equipment including restraint chairs, Hover Jacks, duress badges, IV pumps, feeding pumps, and NG tubes as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic/Excellian electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on a 24-bed adult locked unit with an average patient length of stay of 7–9 days

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain; pending state license considered
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Minnesota state fingerprinting required as a compliance item prior to start — must be completed as early as possible, as results can take up to 3–4 weeks
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with neurodiverse patients, specifically non-verbal individuals with autism
• Background in acute inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
• Familiarity with ADL cares in a high-acuity mental health environment
• First-time travel nursing candidates are welcome
