Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients in an inpatient hospital setting
Assess, monitor, and document patient mental health status and treatment progress
Administer medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with care plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver comprehensive psychiatric care
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New Mexico or a compact state license accepted in NM
Prior psychiatric nursing experience required
Must be available for a clinical interview prior to placement - please be prepared to submit interview availability
Must be able to arrive a few days prior to the contract start date to complete New Mexico fingerprinting requirements
Must have Social Security card available for onboarding
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in an adult inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health setting
Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention
Strong documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills
