Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Evening Shift (8-Hour Shifts) | Expected 32-40 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to patients on a child and adolescent inpatient unit
- Assess, monitor, and document patient behavioral and mental health status across a broad age range (ages 5 through geriatric)
- Support treatment of patients presenting with mental health and behavioral disorders, as well as substance abuse and addiction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment consistent with acute inpatient psychiatric standards
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience
- Experience working in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting
- Ability to work evening shifts and every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with child and adolescent psychiatric populations
- Familiarity with mental health and behavioral disorders as well as substance abuse and addiction treatment
- Experience in a fast-paced acute inpatient hospital environment
