- Skills in providing immediate, short-term support to patients in crisis, including de-escalation techniques.
- Proficiency in therapeutic communication to build trust and rapport with patients through effective communication skills, including active listening and empathy.
Description:
This position involves caring for patients within the behavioral health specialty.
The RN will work with various patient units, each catering to different age groups and acuity levels.
Patient ratios on the units will be maintained to ensure quality care.
Documentation of patient care will be conducted using the established system.
The RN’s responsibilities will include monitoring patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs and mental status changes.
Crisis intervention, including de-escalation and appropriate medication management, is essential for success in this role.
Communication with patients will adhere to established values, ensuring they feel heard and respected.
The dress code includes nurses wearing blue scrubs.
This position requires flexibility with scheduling, including potential rotations among units based on patient needs.
