Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care within a geriatric psychiatric unit, including patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Perform milieu management to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete thorough and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate testing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license - must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience in a short-term acute care hospital (non-psychiatric facility)
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification - must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months - required to qualify for submission
• No open background case hits; facility does not accept any license hits
• Locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single location (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition
• Prior travel nursing experience within a health system environment
