Key Responsibilities- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, with adolescent population anticipated to be added
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with mental health and behavioral disorders, as well as substance abuse and addiction conditions
- Administer and manage medications utilizing the Omnicell system, with 24/7 onsite pharmacy support available
- Complete clinical documentation in Epic, including paper charting for restraint documentation
- Maintain staffing ratios of approximately 1:20 depending on patient acuity
- Apply Handles With Care de-escalation techniques in patient interactions
Required Qualifications- Active Pennsylvania (PA) RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing
- Ability to work in an acute inpatient hospital environment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Epic electronic health records
- Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
- Background working with adolescent psychiatric populations
- Experience with de-escalation techniques in a behavioral health setting
