- Peripheral line care/management and PICC line management
- Ability to titrate drips
- Experience with PCU patient ratios of 1:5
Description:
Mandatory questionnaire must be answered and returned promptly.
Candidate must be aware of job submission and job description.
Candidate must be flexible with scheduling.
Candidate should understand there is a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
Candidate must have no barriers preventing the completion of compliance on time.
Candidate must be aware of the Pass Fail EKG exam required for all RNs in this specialty.
This is a high-level, high-functioning PCU with multiple long-term patients.
Shifts are three 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
No call responsibility.
All travelers may be subject to float between campuses as needed.
Skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and isolation precautions/PPE.
Management of dysrhythmias, telemetry experience, and non-invasive airway management are essential.
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips is required.
Experience with tracheostomy care and wound management is also needed.
Patient population includes adults with various diagnoses, including stroke and endocrine disorders.
The unit consists of telemetry-monitored beds providing cardiac surveillance.
Interdisciplinary support services are available.
Floating may be required as needed.
EKG exam compliance is mandatory for all RNs, with two attempts allowed.
