RNs will care for a complex cardiovascular population in a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. Utilizing and strengthening cardiovascular assessment and clinical judgment skills is essential. Early recognition of patient deterioration skills will be important. Specialized nursing skills will include continuous invasive pressure monitoring and infusion management. The role offers an opportunity to care for higher-acuity cardiovascular patients. RNs will continue to develop clinical expertise in a collaborative progressive care setting.
