Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience / Stepdown – Tennessee
Start Date: October 1, 2026
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Weekend shifts required; experienced nurses eligible to float after orientation
Highlights:
- 30-bed neuroscience unit with 22 acute care beds and 8 stepdown beds
- Patient ratios: 6:1 on acute care, 4:1 on neuro stepdown
- Equipment and case mix includes stroke care, cardiac drips, Vapotherm, BiPap, trachs, high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, and various IV drips
- Electronic medical record system: Meditech
- Supportive staffing model with RN Charge Nurse, 1-2 techs, and unit secretary
- Excellent stepping stone for nurses pursuing critical care/ICU careers
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or eligibility)
- BLS certification required for all positions
- ACLS certification required for Neuro Stepdown
- Strong nursing skills and time management for acute care positions
- Stepdown experience preferred for Neuro Stepdown positions
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
