Job Opportunity – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Step-Down RN – New York

Schedule: 4x12 Night Shift, every other weekend required
Highlights:
- 26-bed critical care step-down unit within a 528-bed tertiary care hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for medical-surgical step-down patients requiring specialized monitoring
- Continuous telemetry and pulse-oximetry monitoring for all patients; care includes BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions
- Diverse patient population from Emergency Department, PACU, ICU, and medical-surgical floors
- EPIC charting system; 24 hours of orientation provided
- Float opportunities to ICU or medical-surgical units as needed
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license (must be in hand prior to submittal)
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent acute care or step-down experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC charting experience is mandatory
- Experience with telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and Rapid Response/Code team protocols
- Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral and central line management
- Competency in respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, BIPAP/CPAP, and non-invasive airway management
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
