Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in SD/PCU experience preferred. License: Active state RN license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, OCN preferred. Must-Have: Oncology experience. Sickle cell experience and chemo certification preferred but not required. Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. Ability to read and interpret dysrhythmias. Experience with EPIC charting system. Availability to work every other weekend and holiday. Description: This position involves working in a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit. The unit specializes in oncology and hematology patients. We accommodate mixed acuity, serving both Med Surg and advanced care patients. Frequent responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and blood products. Additional skills involved may include managing drips, PCAs, wounds, and more. All nurses are expected to float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units as necessary. The patient ratio typically ranges from 1:4 to 1:5-6, with the potential for varying acuity. Successful candidates should be comfortable floating to other units based on skill set and census needs. There is a requirement for medical clearance for N95 fitting prior to assignment on the respiratory unit. Travelers must comply with any floating and assignment requirements based on unit needs. Maximum requested time off per contract is 14 days, with no request considered after the offer is made.
