Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years required: 2 License: Any active state RN license or compact license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be able to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting assignment. Must work a minimum of every other holiday. Must float to other units based on skill sets and census without restrictions or special requests. Description: Winter contract option of 13 or 18 weeks available. Travelers will be first to float at the discretion of management. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. The facility reserves the right to cancel two shifts due to low census within the contract period. Cancellation of the agreement can occur with two weeks' notice without fee or fine. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census and number of rooms are variable. Unit staff includes interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. Common patient diagnoses include COPD, congestive heart failure, stroke, renal failure, and post-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Special procedures and equipment managed include chest tube management, Bipap/Cpap therapy, and pharmacologic treatment of arrhythmias. Candidates must have experience with various nursing skills including central line care, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and monitoring cardiac telemetry. Charting system experience with Epic is required. Candidates without active state RN licenses or those with past license disciplinary action will not be accepted. Maximum requested time off allowed per contract is 14 days. References are not required for application. Local radius for travelers is 50 miles.
