License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Recent experience in IMCU/Stepdown. Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips. Successfully pass telemetry and critical care medication tests on the first day. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a stepdown unit. The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The nurse will work every other weekend and every other holiday. The unit cares for post-operative patients requiring intermediate care following procedures such as cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplants. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:3, 1:4, or 1:4-5 for MedSurg patients. Experience in a tertiary facility is preferred. Candidates should have completed more than one previous travel assignment.
