Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in PCU/IMC License: Oregon RN license is not required at the time of submission; pending licensure accepted. Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong telemetry or IMC experience Ability to float as needed Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty. Candidates must have strong telemetry or IMC experience. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in PCU or IMC within the last 3 years. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend but not guaranteed. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4 to 1:6. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required. The clinician will float if needed to meet facility needs. The role includes managing telemetry, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and managing dysrhythmias. Candidates must have experience with cardiac drips such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and amiodarone. Additional skills include non-invasive airway management and peripheral line care. Isolation precautions and PPE experience are necessary. Previous charge experience is preferred but not required. Travel experience is required. The float pool team supports all adult inpatient units including telemetry. Interdisciplinary support will be available through various specialty teams.
