Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Medical Care Unit – Georgia

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48 hours per week, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, 16-bed Intermediate Medical Care Unit

Highlights:

• Intermediate care environment with diverse patient population including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, diabetes management, substance abuse, and encephalopathy
• Experience with heparin drips and critical medication management
• 13-week contract assignment with immediate start availability
• Collaborative unit team in a fast-paced medical center setting
• Opportunity to advance skills in progressive care nursing
• Mandatory holiday coverage required: Thanksgiving or day after, plus either Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU or ICU stepdown experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Demonstrated competency with heparin drips and high-acuity medical patients
