License: Active RN license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year IMCU experience - 2+ years recent medical-surgical and telemetry experience - Experience in neuro care, myocardial infarctions, and tracheostomy care - Ability to care for patients with complex medical needs - Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips - Complete a telemetry test on day 1 Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse working in a stepdown unit. The shift is 12 hours during the night. This role requires every other weekend and every other holiday availability. The unit sees a mix of IMCU, neurology, and medical-surgical patients. There is a high volume of patients with neurological, medical, and cardiology conditions. The nurse will care for patients including those on chronic ventilation and tracheostomy patients. The average patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3 in IMCU and 1:4 to 1:5 in medical-surgical care. Critical care experience is preferred.
