The role involves caring for a blend of IMCU, neurology, and med-surg patients. There is a high volume of neuro, medicine, and cardiology patients. The candidate will manage chronic ventilator patients, tracheostomy care, and patients with high acuity heart failure. The unit has 27 beds with an average patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3 for IMCU and 1:4 to 1:5 for med-surg patients. Previous permanent staff are not eligible for submission as travelers. Local candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be considered for local rates. Critical care experience is preferred.
