The nurse will care for adults and geriatric patients with complex medical histories. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, administering medications, and performing clinical assessments. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent transfers to the ICU. Interventions are often required every 2 hours, and sometimes every hour. The position may involve caring for patients with various diagnoses, including respiratory failure and sepsis. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for working with interdisciplinary support staff. The nurse will need to demonstrate proficiency in managing central lines, trach care, and high-flow nasal cannula. Critical thinking and quick decision-making are important in this role.
