Job Opportunity – Progressive Critical Care Registered Nurse – New York

Start Date: November 8, 2026

Location: Albany, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Progressive Critical Care Unit assignment; average patient load of 3 high acuity patients

Highlights:

  • Care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients with conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
  • Advanced hemodynamic monitoring including pressor titration protocols, antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcotic drips, thrombolytics, arterial lines, CVP monitoring, and EVD management
  • Utilize advanced respiratory support modalities including HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent protocols
  • Epic EMR system in use; Epic experience required
  • Competency testing required within 24 hours of submission via email
  • Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements:

  • Current New York Registered Nurse license (or eligible for licensure)
  • ACLS certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Competency in medical and surgical patient populations
  • Experience with progressive care or adult PCU settings; community hospital ICU experience preferred
  • Proficiency in advanced hemodynamics, critical drip titration, orthopedic traction, and infection prevention protocols
  • Non-local candidates only (specific county restrictions apply)
