Experience with starting and maintaining IVs and managing central lines is essential. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and follow heparin protocols is required. Must be able to provide tracheostomy care and manage PCA pumps. Knowledge of isolation precautions and the use of PPE is necessary. Travelers will float to other units as needed and must have demonstrated competencies for tasks. Pre-assignment testing and modules prior to starting the assignment are required. All hours spent on required modules are billable up to a set limit. Commitment to ongoing professional development is expected.
