Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; first-timers accepted License: State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Experience managing cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring - Strong skills in respiratory and cardiac care - Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system Description: The primary responsibility is to provide patient care in a progressive care unit. This includes monitoring and assessing patients from adolescents to geriatrics. Nurses will be assigned to patients with various medical conditions. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. Continuous telemetry monitoring is a critical component of this role. Nurses will be expected to manage titrating cardiac drips and respiratory care. Support is provided by interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services. Compliance with all required onboarding documentation is essential for timely start. Nurses are expected to work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. If more than one major holiday falls, additional commitments may be required. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary as floating within the facility may be required. Time off requests must be finalized during the application process. This position requires adherence to strict compliance policies.
