Experience: 1 year of previous stepdown experience required. At least 1 travel contract completed preferred.
License: State license in Illinois and Iowa required.
Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required.
Must-Have: Chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines experience required.
Description:
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients.
The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
This unit has historically maintained a 1:7 patient ratio.
The high volume of open travel needs is a direct response to improve this ratio.
The more travelers who fill the vacancies, the lower the ratio will be.
The role requires working weekends every other week.
Candidates must have experience with amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, insulin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, including some titration experience.
