Description:
This is a 225-bed specialty care hospital.
The facility offers a range of services, including a Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, and more.
The position involves working in a Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit.
The hospital has a Trauma Level of 2.
The department consists of a 36-bed unit.
Patient ratios generally are 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for stepdown populations.
Telemetry monitoring equipment is utilized.
The electronic health record system in use is Cerner.
The supervisory team includes the Manager and the Director.
Patient population includes those requiring cardiac care with trauma and stepdown levels of care.
Common diagnoses include chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre- and post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular issues, and CHF.
Teamwork is essential for success in this role.
The required education is an Associate degree.
Scrub colors required are blue or navy.
Unacceptable attire includes blue jeans.
