Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week with flexible self-scheduling options

  • 29-bed Progressive Care Unit with patient ratios ideally at 1:4, currently running 1:5
  • Unit staffed with unit coordinator and patient care technicians for comprehensive team support
  • Meditech documentation system with Alaris IV pumps and modern monitoring equipment
  • Work with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and intermediate-level acuity patients
  • Self-scheduling model with flexibility for consecutive night shift preferences
  • Cohesive team environment with experienced, collaborative staff members
Requirements:
  • Current Georgia RN license or compact state license
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
  • Experience with cardiac drips and insulin drips strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to float to areas within competency level
Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Vital signs monitoring every 4 hours or more frequently based on patient condition
  • Blood glucose monitoring per physician orders
  • Complete required documentation and patient assessments each shift
  • Royal blue scrubs required; artificial/gel nails not permitted
