Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN Licensure required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in managing adult to geriatric patient populations - Familiarity with Epic charting system Description: This is a float pool position. The candidate must be flexible with scheduling and willing to float to multiple units. Experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, and PCU diagnoses is essential. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4-5 for PCU and 1:5-6 for medical-surgical and telemetry units. The role requires proficiency in various clinical skills, including but not limited to: - Arterial line management - Blood product administration - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Management of dysrhythmias - Telemetry monitoring - Tracheostomy care The candidate may be expected to work one major holiday during their assignment. Flexibility to work weekends is required, with an average of 6 weekends in a 13-week contract. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. A thorough understanding of isolation precautions and the ability to utilize PPE is expected. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team are important.
