Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Acute Leukemia and Hematology – Ohio
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs; weekend coverage variable based on unit needs
Highlights:
- Acute leukemia and hematology specialty unit caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
- No chemotherapy certification required for this position
- Goal staffing ratio of 1:4 (may reach 1:5 based on census)
- Epic electronic medical record system
- 72-hour orientation provided
- Interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
- Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
- Proficiency with Epic charting system required
- Competency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line management, and feeding tube care
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units
