Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a Stepdown/MedSurg unit.
The unit has 34 beds and typical nurse ratios of 1:3 for stepdown and 1:5-6 for the floor.
nurses will be responsible for managing patients with various medical conditions.
RN staff must be adept at reading telemetry and interpreting heart rhythm strips, as this is a necessary skill in the unit.
The position involves working with a team that includes charge nurses and transport RNs during the day shift.
The nursing staff will receive support from certified nursing assistants.
There is a requirement to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
As part of the nursing duties, RNs may also be involved in titrating drips based on patient needs.
The unit is equipped to handle patients on stable ventilatory support.
RT services are available in-house 24/7.
The team will utilize an electronic charting system for documentation.
