TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Minocqua, Wisconsin, 54548!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (1900-0700) Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU or Pediatric settings preferred License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: ICU experience with Pediatric experience preferred Ability to titrate drips Skill in reading rhythm strips Description: The role involves caring for an elderly population with a variety of medical diagnoses. Common diagnoses include cardiac issues such as CHF exacerbation and Afib RVR. Pulmonary diagnoses may involve pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, and respiratory failure post-operative. Neurological conditions, such as falls and TIA, will also be treated. Other common medical issues include cellulitis, GI bleeds, and orthopedic injuries. The position requires the administration of IV medications and management of stable pediatric patients. Common titratable drips include Heparin, insulin, and amiodarone. Registered Nurses will be responsible for monitoring their patients and understanding telemetry readings. Charge Nurses will take an assignment while House Supervisors will not. Certified Nursing Assistants will be available to assist with patient care. There will be respiratory therapy support available 24/7. The role will involve every other weekend and holiday shifts. Registered Nurses will be required to float as needed to other departments. Navy scrubs will be the required dress code for Registered Nurses.
