TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Marshfield, Wisconsin, 54449!

Job Title: Med Surg/PCU/Tele RN Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Neuro Trauma Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of Med Surg, PCU, or ICU experience. Experience in drip administration. Trach and Vent experience preferred. Description: This role involves working on a stepdown unit with a focus on neuro trauma. The unit has 28 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night, depending on patient acuity. Common diagnoses include strokes, seizures, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Myasthenia gravis, spinal injuries, and various trauma-related conditions. RNs will be expected to titrate drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, and Insulin. Charge nurses take a full assignment on nights. Nurse aides are present on the unit, with a day ratio of 1:9 and a night ratio of 1:12. Technological support includes equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and ETCO2 monitoring. RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips, with a central monitor located in a different area. Scheduling is self-managed with shifts available six weeks in advance. RNs are required to work every other weekend and holiday. Floating to other units within the facility may occur. Solid color scrubs are required. A comprehensive orientation will be provided, including time with a preceptor.
