Description:
PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse position available for a traveler.
Candidates may choose one holiday, either Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Candidates may float between units if overstaffed.
Travelers are the first to float to Tele or MS floors.
Weekends are required every other weekend.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4-5.
A hardstop requirement is the ability to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
The facility is a short-term acute care hospital and a Level II trauma center.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Special procedures include cardiac monitoring and management of various cardiac conditions.
Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
This position requires excellent team collaboration skills.
Candidates must respond to any previous employment experiences in a similar setting.
Two references covering one year of experience are required prior to start.
