The unit manages fresh tracheostomies and stable intubations. It handles patients requiring levophed administration and mild sedation. The patient population may include those with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 3:1. Successful candidates will be required to float as needed based on staffing assessments. Floating may occur up to three times per shift. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required as per unit needs. Travelers will be assigned to a home unit, but must be flexible to float when necessary. This position offers a dynamic work environment within a collaborative healthcare team.
