Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months Progressive Care Unit experience with recent experience in the last 12 months License: Active state license to practice verified in the last 30 days Certifications: Active ACLS certification from an approved vendor; Active BLS certification from an approved vendor Must-Have: No hits on state license to practice; Driver's license to verify residency Description: Team member will be part of a specific overflow unit task force. Level I Trauma and large hospital experience is required. The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout multiple campuses to provide support where necessary. The adult health units have patients that range from observation to medical-surgical, progressive care unit, and intermediate care units. Progressive Care Unit travelers may be floated to any of these units during their contract. Occasionally, they may be floated to the emergency department or the recovery room to take adult health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed in a unit. Candidates must clearly outline all criteria they are willing to accept. The more flexible they are with locations, shifts, and departments, the faster an offer can be secured. Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date or no more than one week later. Requests for time off must be specified and cannot exceed seven days. No time off is allowed during the first week of assignment. All candidates submitted should be pre-closed and ready to accept. Candidates should have current life support certifications from recognized organizations. Strict adherence to all background check standards is required. All candidates must have completed a skills checklist in the last 12 months. Candidates are encouraged to have travel experience, which is highly preferred.
