Candidates must have experience with managing various patient conditions including total hip and knee replacements, orthopedic spine surgery, and neuro spine surgery. The nursing role includes responsibilities in telemetry, patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and care planning. Staffing support includes interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit requires floating to different patients as needed based on varying acuity levels. Expected night shift patient ratios are generally 4:1. Skills in starting and maintaining intravenous lines, managing cardiac drips, and tracheostomy care are essential for this role. This position aims to provide comprehensive care to a diverse group of patients within the unit.
