Job Title: PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU/Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year with cardiac drip experience License: Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience titrating and managing cardiac drips - Ability to float between units if needed - Weekends required every other weekend - Patient ratios expected: 1:3-4 Description: PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse needed for immediate placement. Candidates may choose one holiday either Thanksgiving or Christmas but cannot have both. Nurses required to have experience with cardiac drips—titration and management is a hard stop requirement. Position may involve floating between units if overstaffed. Call is not required for this position. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Block schedules are not applicable. Expected patient ratios are 1:3-4. Orientation consists of 40 hours, which is non-billable. Special requirements include managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. This unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses including CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, and others. Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more. Special equipment involves cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips. This position is suitable for nurses with a strong background in telemetry and step-down care. References are required covering one year of experience within the last three years. Travelers may be expected to float to nearby facilities as needed. Providers agree to comply with scheduling requests and requirements. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
