Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience License: Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: - MS/Tele experience - Previous Charge Experience - Telemetry testing requirement Description: Evening/Night shifts available with 8/12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend required. ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. Experience with medical-surgical telemetry is necessary. This position requires the ability to manage arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, and administer blood products. Central line care and feeding tube management are essential skills. Knowledge of Heparin protocols and the management of dysrhythmias is crucial. Perform responsibilities including IV insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, and PCA management. Experience in phlebotomy and PICC line management is preferred. The RN will care for adult and geriatric patients, including those post-cardiac surgery and those with complex vascular conditions. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and active participation in patient care plans is expected. Skills in wound care and use of rapid response teams are beneficial. The unit operates on a 15-bed capacity and focuses on intermediate and general care levels. The individual should be adept at utilizing interdisciplinary support teams and coordinating patient care effectively.
