Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years License: Permanent license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac experience, including cardiac drips, cardiothoracic surgeries, chest pain, post cath lab interventions, and other cardiac-specific diagnoses. Description: The role requires managing a high patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is required. Candidates should have experience in patient care for adults and geriatrics. Daily tasks involve administering blood products, managing BiPAP/CPAP, and providing cardiac telemetry. The unit provides post-operative care for cardiac and vascular procedures. Responsibilities include managing cardiac and vasoactive drips. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and handling central lines. Successful candidates will be skilled in chemotherapy administration and wound care. The role includes working every other weekend as part of the schedule. Availability for weekend shifts and holiday rotations may be necessary. Interdisciplinary support is available within the unit, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
