Key populations include patients with conditions such as cystic fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension. This role demands critical thinking and teamwork. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advocate for quality patient care. Travelers must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or a facility of similar size. Passing a telemetry exam is required before starting. The unit's patient ratio is approximately 1:4 for general care and 1:2 for IMC. Floating may be required to meet unit needs. Patients cared for are typically adults with hemodynamic instability. Interdisciplinary support includes various specialty teams providing additional care.
