Description:
This is a Tele Intermediate Stepdown nursing position.
The unit has 26 beds and operates with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5.
A central tele monitor technician is available on-site.
Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID pneumonia, Afib with RVR, tachy/brady syndrome, and syncope.
Nursing staff will not mix medications; pharmacy support is available 24/7.
Ventilation support includes BiPAP, CPAP, and HF/Vapotherm, but does not include vents.
A charge nurse will take on patients in addition to administrative duties.
The shift operates from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
There is a weekend commitment required every other weekend, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Holidays will also be taken every other holiday.
Nursing staff may wear their own scrubs; no specific scrub color is mandated.
Floor-specific orientation will be provided.
Nursing leadership is available during day shifts and advanced practice providers will be on-site for night coverage.
