Shift Details: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekly Schedule: 36 Hours
Certifications/Licenses:
  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Mandatory Experience:
  • Med Onc PCU
  • ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!
  • Schedule: *If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
  • Required: High acuity PCU patient experience: Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
  • Special Equipment:
    • B450 monitors GE telemetry system.
    • Bladder Scanner.
    • Alaris pumps.
    • Stryker beds.
    • Continuous Bladder Irrigation
    • PCA Pumps
  • Requirements:
    • Overall 2 years of acute care nursing exp, with atleast 1 year of PCU experience
    • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH
    • Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry
    • Ratio: 1:3 PCU
    • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
    • Previous travel experience preferred.
  • Skills Required:
    • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
    • Use of rapid response teams
    • Feeding tube care and management
    • Accessing Ports
    • Blood Product Administration
    • Central line care/management
    • Peripheral Line Care/Management
    • PICC line management
    • Starting IVs
    • Heparin Protocols
    • Manage Cardia drips- no titration
    • PCA
    • Titrate Cardiac drips
    • Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac
    • External CPAP/BIPAP
    • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
    • Interpretation of ABGs
    • Nasal Cannula
    • Tracheostomy Management
  • Skills Preferred:
    • Management of dysrhythmias
    • IV insulin protocols
    • Titration of Insulin drips
    • Phlebotomy
    • Chemotherapy Administration
    • Monitoring Chemotherapy
    • Wound Care/Wound Vac
    • Arterial line management
    • Surgical drains
    • Non-invasive airway management
