Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Colorado
Start Date: July 9, 2026
Location: Englewood, Colorado
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Patient ratio 1:4 with charge nurse free of patient assignment. 20-bed multi-trauma unit with team-based approach including charge nurse, 5 staff nurses, and dedicated tech support.
Highlights:
- Level 1 trauma center specializing in highly complex and acute multi-trauma patients
- Exposure to advanced procedures including chest tube management, bedside bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and ventilator management
- Work with specialty equipment including vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and chest tube systems
- EMR system: Meditech / CPN
- Strong nursing team with supportive charge nurses, excellent tech support, and collaborative physician relationships
- Travel assignment offering professional growth in a challenging, fast-paced trauma environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
- Active RN license in good standing
- Prior Meditech experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing trauma patients, chest tubes, trachs, and ventilators preferred
