The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The role promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN utilizes educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and in mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition; demonstrates sound independent decision-making. Development & Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care, and reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with patients and families along with interdisciplinary services; utilizes resources appropriately to support organizational and patient needs. Evaluation: Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions.
