The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Nurses will be expected to manage various medical procedures, including chest tubes and IVs. It is important for candidates to have skills in arterial line management and care of ventilated patients. This position involves floating between like units as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Travelers must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. The daily census usually ranges from 20 to 23 patients.
